Yekbun Adiguzel received her undergraduate degree from the Molecular Biology and Genetics Department of Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey, and M.Sc. degree from the Pediatric Molecular Genetics Department of Ankara University Medical Faculty, Ankara, Turkey. She received Ph.D. degree from the Biophysics Department of Ruhr-University Bochum (RUB), Germany. Her Ph.D. was funded by the International Max Planck Research School in Chemical Biology of the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology, Dortmund, Germany.
She then involved in Postdoctoral studies in Neurobiochemistry of RUB. Afterwards, she became project personnel of the European Union 7th Frame Project within the Biological and Biomedical (Bio) Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) Division of the METU-MEMS Research and Application Center.
She is currently an associate professor of the Biophysics Department, School of Medicine, Altınbaş University, Istanbul, Turkey. She is interested in the experimental and theoretical studies within the fields of molecular biology and biophysics.
